The TransParenting Seminar is an approved Florida Department of Children and Families four-hour Parent Education and Family Stabilization course for divorcing parents of minor children as required by Florida Statute 61.21.
This interactive seminar focuses on how effective parenting during this time of transition can lessen the negative impact of divorce and parental separation on children. This seminar will provide information to parents on understanding the impact divorce has on their children, helping children express their emotions related to divorce, and ways they can help their children accept changes in the family structure. And will also educate parents on the divorce process and offer tips on how to establish a positive co-parenting relationship.
Whatever stage of separation or divorce you may be in, the TransParenting seminar will offer you tools and information to help you move your family through this period of significant change.
The seminar is generally offered twice monthly; however, the schedule is subject to change due to demand. The seminar is held on Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and is facilitated at 2803 Fruitville Road, Sarasota, Florida.
